CLAAS Introduces Two New LINER rakes
11/11/2008

(OMAHA, Neb.) The hallmark of the CLAAS LINER family of rakes is a uniform, clean swath with working precision and intelligent tine control. And, there’s no doubt that the introduction of the new LINER 750 and LINER 1750 dual rotor side discharge rakes bring a new level of selection for producers without compromising the features you expect from CLAAS – clean raking, even swaths, reliability and low maintenance costs.

Bob Armstrong, North American Product Marketing Manager explained, “Quality, consistency and reducing time in the field is what every producer looks for and it’s what they can expect from CLAAS products. More specifically, the addition of the LINER 750 and 1750 expands the available working widths of the CLAAS side discharge rakes giving producers more choice and flexibility.” Armstrong concluded, “The LINER series offers heavy duty gearboxes with minimal grease points giving producers optimal efficiency. And efficiency in the field is paramount no matter how small or large the operation. What’s important is that you have a machine that fits your situation and provides you with peace of mind and superior crop.”

The LINER 750 twin rotor design allows for single or twin windrows with a 24’ clearing width and 25’ 7” working width. The LINER 750 is equipped with 12 removable tine arms with 4 double tines per arm, per rotor. The removable tine arms are ideal for narrow transport and storage. In addition, the 3-D rotor suspension makes covering each contour of the field simple with a free-moving rotor frame, operating completely independent of the main frame. Precise ground contour allows you to work in tough field conditions while maintaining a clean swath and minimizing ash (foreign material).

Increasing the working width to 26’ 3”, the LINER 1750 twin rotor design allows for one single windrow. With 14 tine arms with 4 double tines per arm, per rotor, the LINER 1750 increases working output. Similar to the design of the LINER 2900 introduced in late 2007, the 3-D contour rotor articulation offers the ability to swath quickly, while at the same time maintaining high forage quality. The 2-point inverted U-frame gives maximum clearance of the single wide-angle universal drive shaft. With telescopic tine arms controlled from the cab, shrinking the rake down for transport is made easy.

CLAAS of America, Inc. offers a wide variety of technologically innovative hay tool, baler, self-propelled forage harvester and combine harvester products to provide growers optimum performance in the field. These products are designed by a dedicated engineering staff located at three different worldwide factories focused on the production and design of harvesting equipment.
